Anticipated Near East Side fried chicken concept opening next month

Put the aside the burger, and save the shakes for another day, because the next eatery set to open early next month on the on the near east side will be serving up just chicken.

In fact, the new eatery is named Just Chicken. 

Located inside the East Market at 212 Kelton Ave., it will join a handful of other vendors—including the brand-new Nola Daq Shack—within the east side food hall.

The new eatery will hold its official grand opening on Oct. 1.

According to co-owner D’Andre Martin, Just Chicken will offer a concise menu of chicken fingers, a single fried chicken sandwich and fries in order to streamline the serving process and highlight what the restaurant does best.

“It’s very simple, all natural and fresh,” Martin said. “The simple menu will help us keep up with food costs too.”

It will also offer three signature houses, Just Ranch, Just Sauce and Just Honey Mustard, which will all be made from scratch daily.
