A new “international” nightclub and cocktail bar is opening downtown this summer

While the recent closure of Dahlia Nightclub has left a void in the city’s Downtown nightlife scene, a brand new club concept is preparing to open this summer.

Say hello to Noir Lounge.

According to partner Kashif Smiley, the new concept aims to bring the atmosphere from eclectic and diverse nightclubs found in major cities like LA, New York and Miami to Central Ohio.

“We see a growing amount of diversity in the city; We see all types of people continue to move to Columbus, and we want to celebrate that as best we can,” Smiley said. “We are trying to bring a big-city, international nightclub to downtown Columbus.”

Located at 15 W. Cherry St., the 4,000 square foot space will include music, bottle service, and “visual elements of cities like LA, New York and Miami.” Noir Lounge will not offer food from an in-house kitchen, but Smiley said the club plans to have food trucks parked outside regularly.

The building is currently being remodeled, and is slated for a late July or early August opening.
