According to a survey of more than 16,000, this is Ohio’s favorite Christmas candy

You may not immediately think of it when you think about Christmas, but holiday candy is really an integral part of December 25th.

From candy canes and seasonal specialties to a wide variety of stocking stuffers, sweets are present not only on the holiday itself, but throughout the days and weeks leading up to Christmas. And if you’ve ever what the most popular variety is in the Buckeye State, we have an answer for you.

The online candy retailer Candystore.com asked more than 16,000 customers across the country about what their favorite Christmas candies were, and they recently released the results in a new article and interactive map.

According to the Candystore.com survey, the most popular Christmas candy in the state of Ohio is the chocolate Santa. It appears Ohio’s playing it safe on its seasonal sweets, but these items are a holiday classic for a reason. 

Several other states, including Nex Mexico, Mississippi and North Dakota also opt for the chocolate Santa as their first choice.

In Ohio, the second most popular candy choice were Hershey’s Kisses, followed by peppermint bark at number three.
