On Dec. 18, Hornets Nest Pizza–a local favorite family-owned eatery in Pataskala–seemingly closed its doors for good, after the spot’s longtime owners announced the it would close.

But now, less than two months later, the pizzeria has made an unexpected comeback, according to a statement posted to its Facebook page.

The Hornet’s Nest is located at 6414 Summit Rd. SW in Pataskala.

“Hey, pizza lovers! We are happy to say… Hornets Nest Pizza will be reopening soon, under new ownership,” the eatery’s statement reads.

The update did not make clear when Hornets Nest plans to reopen, or if the pizzeria’s new owners are planning any updates to the Central Ohio spot.

The eatery did not return a request for comment on its reopening by the time this story was published.
