After COVID-related setbacks, Columbus-based pizza chain opens Hilliard location

It’s been a process, but Massey’s Pizza has officially opened in Hilliard.

The popular Columbus-based pizzeria held the grand opening for its newest storefront, located at 5068 Cemetery Rd., yesterday.

“We’re excited that Hilliard is finally open, not just for this area. We were supposed to open in September, but due to supply chain issues we couldn’t get certain equipment, and we can’t open if we don’t have walk-in coolers and other equipment,” said Massey’s CMO Richard Folk.

He noted that the new location doesn’t have an official Massey’s sign at its front entrance just yet, which is also due to COVID-related delays, but the pizzeria plans to install one shortly.

And while the new space does feature dine-in and carryout service currently, it will not deliver pizza for the first few weeks of operation.

“We’re going to take it slow; we’re going to make sure everybody gets good service, and then we’ll start delivering,” Folk said.
