Kyushu Ramen is almost here, Columbus.

According to owner Leon Zhu, the eatery is currently slated to open by late March. Kyushu was originally targeting a grand opening date earlier in the month, but due to labor shortages, the date was pushed back. This summer, the concept had expected to open in October, but like so many new restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic, its opening was delayed.

Announced last year, the new restaurant will be located 1280 W. 5th Ave., within the city’s Fifth by Northwest neighborhood.

Also the owner of Columbus restaurants Happy House and Yun Nan Crossing Bridge Noodle, Zhu told 614NOW in an interview earlier this year that the concept will feature at least ten varieties of traditional Japanese ramen.

Zhu even attended ramen cooking classes in Osaka, Japan in 2019, to make sure his eateries are serving the best ramen possible.
