Authentic cheesesteak concept coming to Gahanna next month

We’ve known for some time that Marlow’s Cheesesteaks, the new spot for authentic cheesesteak and water ice, a Philly-style dessert akin to Italian ice, is slated to take over the former Arepazo location in Gahanna.

And now we know when it’s going to happen.

The eatery announced that the new restaurant will hold its grand opening on April 30.

Marlow’s Cheesesteaks is located at 93 S. High St. in Gahanna.

Philadelphia transplants Jomar and Shanika Sheppard will take over the 1,100 square foot space, offering cheesesteaks with fresh-from-Philly ingredients and a variety of water ice flavors. The eatery also plans to offer alcohol-infused water ice.

“The true Philly experience comes from using real Philadelphia ingredients, and that’s what we plan to do,” Shanika Sheppard told 614NOW in a February interview.

Marlow’s Cheesesteaks currently operates as a food trailer in the Easton area.
