East Side soul food restaurant has reopened

Jack McLaughlin

This year, St. Patrick’s Day brought more than just an excuse for us to drink green beer: It also meant the return of Slap’n Mac’s Seafood.

The soul food spot, specializing in Polish boys, ribs, plus fried chicken and fish, officially reopened for business on March 17.

Slap’n Mac’s is located at 2800 Brice Rd. in Reynoldsbug.

The restaurant closed for the winter season, and announced it will be open again through the fall of 2022.

“Here’s to another year we’re looking forward to seeing and serving our community with the same great customer service and delicious food,” a statement posted to Slap’n Mac’s social media accounts reads.

Diners are encouraged to call ahead for pickup and delivery orders. Slap’n Mac’s also noted that it plans to begin offering third party services for delivery orders.
