Falafel vendor opening in Budd Dairy Food Hall
Falafel Kitchen opened just last year in North Market Bridge Park, and soon it will be adding a location within a Columbus dining hub.
That’s because owner Katy Ailabouni is opening a new temporary location inside Hatch, Budd Dairy’s rotating kitchen space.
Falafel Kitchen is slated to open March 14. It will replace The Pitt BBQ Grille, the former Hatch vendor.

And if Katy Ailabouni’s name sounds familiar, that’s because her mother, Maggie Ailabouni, owns and operates Mazah Mediterranean, although she noted that both concepts are a family affair.
In an interview last year, Maggie Ailabouni told 614NOW that Falafel Kitchen aims to incorporate many of the flavors and idea of Mazah, only with a greater focus on mediterranean street food.
“There are a lot of countries that have these kiosks where all they sell is falafel, that’s it. And we want to provide people with that type of experience here,” Maggie Ailabouni said.
Falafel Kitchen also offers includes from-scratch baked goods, such as Za’tar bread and baklava.
