Former Bob Evans CEO dies at 64

Steven Davis, the former CEO of Bob Evans, has died at the age 64.

According to a press release, Davis suffered massive cardiac arrest on July 10.

Davis was the first Black man to head the company. He served as CEO from 2006-2015, and Chairman of the Board for Bob Evans Farms, Inc. from 2006-2014. In addition to his work at Bob Evans, he was also the Senior Vice President President of Pizza Hut from 1999-2002, and President of Long John Silver’s and A&W All American Food from 2002-2006.

“We thank all of the love and support we are receiving from the business community both locally and nationally and appreciate the outpouring of condolences from our friends here in Columbus and beyond,” Davis’ wife Lynnda said in a statement.

Steven Davis is survived by Lynnda, his daughters Brittany, Cassaundra and Stephanie, in addition to his four grandchildren.
