Former Carfagna’s Meat Market sold, will open as new market this spring

Perhaps the only downside of Carfagna’s launching its massive Polaris location last fall–with combined a speciality grocery store with on-site restaurant, wine-store, butcher shop and more–was the fact that the new store replaced the longstanding Carfagna’s Meat Market, located at 1405 E. Dublin-Granville Rd.

And now, that location is getting a new tenant.

This spring, Toro Meat Market will open inside the former Carfagna’s space.

According to information from the Franklin County Auditor’s website, the sale of the old Carfagna Meat Market was finalized on Feb. 2. It sold for $1.1 million.

Toro’s Meat Market confirmed the move with a statement posted to its social media pages yesterday. “We are so pleased to announce that our store on 1405 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43229 will be open very soon,” the statement reads.

The new market will feature premium cuts of meat, expert butchers and fresh produce, according to its website.
