Gourmet slider chain opens campus-area location

The second Columbus location of a fast-growing burger chain has finally arrived.

Savvy Sliders, which is located at 2107 N. High St., officially opened its doors in late November.

The eatery took over the former home of the campus-area White Castle.

The Michigan-based spot for gourmet sliders, chicken, fries and more opened its first restaurant outside of its home state last year, when its original Columbus location opened at 1450 W. Broad St.

The west side location is co-branded as a Happy’s Pizza, but the new High Street eatery is the first in Ohio dedicated entirely to Savvy Sliders.

“The Broad Street store was a way for us to get our foot in the door in Ohio,” Franchisee Ali Bazzi said in an interview with 614Now earlier this year. “So far, it’s had great reviews, so we’re looking to add between three to five stores in Columbus over the next few years.”
