While we love ice cream parlors, there’s just something extra-special about grabbing a cone or a sundae from a food truck. Part of it must be the search; the rush we feel when we actually find the truck we’re after. It also helps that we have no shortage of must-try food trucks here in Central Ohio. Little Ladies Soft Serve

While many readers are likely already aware of this brightly-colored concept, no list of Columbus ice cream trucks is complete with Little Ladies Soft Serve, which has built an intensely loyal fan base off of its loaded cones and indulgent sundaes.

Sweet Tooth Ice Cream

Modeled after the killer clown car from the “Twisted Metal” video game series, and using the same name, this Central Ohio ice cream truck offers everything from soft serve to ice cream, with plenty of decked-out sundaes to boot.

What the Float

While root beer is great, What the Float is absolutely not stopping there. This food truck specializes in ice cream floats of all varieties. The concept even allows customers to create their own floats from a massive selection of ice cream and soda flavors.

Chilljoy

Chilljoy does offer ice cream and even gourmet popsicle, but what it’s best known for is an impressive collection of authentic Hawaiian shaved ice. The treat combines shaved ice with flavoring, and is often topped off with real fruit and multiple other accoutrements.

Graeter’s Food Truck

This iconic Ohio-based scoop shop operates operates several food trucks between its markets in Columbus, Cincinnati, Louisville and Pittsburgh. They’re a great place to grab a Graeter’s scoop on the go, and they can even be reserved for events.
