Bojangles is coming to Columbus, and now we know where.

According to documents filed with the City of Columbus, the City’s first location of the hugely-popular Southern chicken chain will be 831 Hilliard Rome Rd.

The location, just south of Interstate 70, is located on one of several plots of land in front of Menards, on the west side of Hilliard Rome Rd.

Jeff Rigsby, longtime Bojangles Franchisee and owner of the Hilliard Rome Rd. store, confirmed the address. It is expected to open in the spring of 2023.

Currently, there are no Bojangles locations in the state of Ohio. The fast food spot–a competitor of eateries like Popeyes and Church’s, known for its chicken and savory biscuits–is a fixture in the southeastern US, and is expanding north.

Rigsby, who is a Columbus native, announced in the spring of 2021 that he plans to bring 15 locations to Central Ohio over a several-year period.
