Long-standing Columbus pizzeria opens anticipated new location

It’s been over a year in the making, but Grandad’s Pizza has finally opened its highly-anticipated new restaurant.

The new pizzeria is located at 1490 Bethel Rd., in the former home of Morone’s Italian Villa.

This is Grandad’s fourth location. Its original eatery, which has been open since 1989, is located at 1418 Morse Rd. It also operates pizzerias in Grandview and Hilliard.

Grandad’s first announced the new location in the spring of 2021. The new location, like its Hilliard spot (which is called Grandad’s Pizza & Pub), will offer both carryout and seating for dine-in customers, in addition to a newly-renovated bar. It will offer the same menu of sandwiches, wings and thin, crispy Columbus-style pizzas as other Grandad’s locations.

The concept’s Morse Road and Grandview spots are intended for carryout customers. If you’re ready to take part in the brand-new Columbus Style Pizza Trail from Experience Columbus, Grandad’s Grandview location is on the official list of participating pizzerias.
