Lowcountry comfort food and American bourbon meet at this newly-opened eatery
We’re predicting a healthy amount of Lowcountry cuisine and bourbon in your future.
While we can’t see the future here at (614)Now, we do know that Subourbon Southern Kitchen & Bar is now officially open for business.
The eatery, which is located at 2234 W. Dublin Granville Rd. on the city’s North Side, opened it doors yesterday.

The concept is inspired by the time owner Patrick Maker—a Columbus restaurateur who also owns the popular eatery Alqueria—spent growing up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
Subourbon features traditional Lowcountry fare in addition to a variety of Cajun and Creole dishes, including items like shrimp and grits, catfish po’boys, hot chicken, seafood gumbo, pork rinds and more.
The kitchen is overseen by Executive Chef Odine Hong, who has previously worked at Due Amici, Barcelona, Harvest and Hen Quarter.
True to its name, Subourbon also operates a bar fully stocked bar, with a wide variety of American bourbon and whiskey.
