West Side store employee maced in the face by angry customer

Jack McLaughlin

Last month, an employee of a Hilltop business was maced by an angry customer after a dispute, Columbus Police said.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on May 15, an employee working in a business located on the 2100 block of Sullivant Avenue asked a female customer, who had become disruptive, to leave the store.

According to Columbus Police, after becoming “disorderly” and “argumentative” toward the employee, the woman proceeded to spray the worker in the face with mace before leaving the business.
