Momo Ghar has permanently closed its Dublin restaurant

Momo Ghar’s only standalone restaurant space was temporarily closed for some time, and now it has shuttered for good.

According to Momo Ghar co-owner Phuntso Lama, the eatery has permanently closed its Dublin restaurant, which was located at 2800 Festival Lane.

“It was a difficult decision, but we had to,” Lama said, who noted the eatery will remain open in the North Market, its only operational restaurant currently. “North market is doing well and it will be our only location for now.”

The restaurant’s Dublin space officially opened in January of 2021. It has been temporarily closed since late December.

Featuring Momo, a type of savory Tiebtian dumpling, Momo Ghar famously opened inside a cramped corner of Saraga International Grocery in 2016, before launching a popular space inside of the North Market Downtown.

Momo Ghar was also featured in a 2018 episode of “Diners, Drive-Ins a s Dives,” the popular Food Network TV show.
