For 70 years, Gatto’s Pizza was located 2928 S. High St. in Clintonville. It’s only fitting, then, that the storefront’s new tenant is also serving pizza.

While Gatto’s relocated earlier this year, taking over the former McCarthy’s Wildflower Cafe storefront, Clintonville Pizza & Subs quietly opened in the longstanding pizzeria’s High Street spot, with their own style of pie for sale.

Clintonville Pizza & Subs officially opened for business on June 30.

“The most popular by far is our thin crust pepperoni,” he said.

The new eatery also offers a variety of made to order sandwiches, like its speciality meatball And Italian subs.
