Late next month, an upscale new members-only social club is landing in the Short North.

Privé Lounge, a new social club that has taken over the Whiskey Lounge, the attached bar space inside of Chophouse 614, is slated to open August 25. Privé Lounge and Chophouse 614 are located at 1079 N. High St.

According to founder and managing partner Shawn Shahnazi, the new concept aims to recreate the energy and atmosphere of elite clubs and nightlife spots across the country.

“We want to have that cosmopolitan feel of the membership clubs in cities like Miami and London, we want that standard of service too,” Shehnazi said. “I like to think of them as country clubs 2.0. You get that exclusivity still, but with a lot more energy.”

Members will be able to bring multiple guests with them into the remodeled 2,000 square foot space, and membership perks will include everything from guaranteed reservations at Chophouse 614 to personal lockers of spirits and cigars and even car service in a Rolls Royce or Mercedes S-Class, depending on membership level.

“What I love about this venue is that you can have an intimate dining room setting, walk over 50 feet and you can enjoy high-energy music and a true social club. It’s the best of both,” Shahnazi said.
