New combination soul food restaurant and live music venue opening in Polaris this weekend

Soul food and live music is coming your way soon.

That’s because CJ’s Soulfood will be holding the grand opening of its Polaris-area restaurant on April 16.

The new eatery is located at 1262 E. Powell Rd., in the Oak Creek at Polaris shopping center, just north of Polaris Fashion Place

“We are very excited to open and feature some of the best soul food in the Columbus area. We take pride in our menu and our customers’ experience. We will feature live entertainment on Saturdays throughout the month,” General Manager Jacob Gaus said.

CJ’s Soulfood will offer a full bar with wine and craft beer.

The eatery, will feature live music during its grand opening as well.

Tru Playas and Animal will perform at CJ’s April 16 grand opening. Doors for the event will open at 4, with music running from 9 p.m. until 12 a.m. Drinks and food will be available throughout the evening. A $10 cover fee will be charged for patrons joining the event after 10 p.m.
