Patio for new Cameron Mitchel concept in former G. Michael’s space approved; Take a sneak peek at how it’s going to look

While we don’t know the name of the new Cameron Mitchell concept that will occupy the former home of G. Michael’s in German Village, we do know it will feature upscale Italian fare. And earlier this week, we also learned a good deal about the concept’s patio space.

That’s because on April 6, plans for the new patio space were approved by the German Village Commission. Rendering of the new patio were presented by the Columbus-based Design Collective,

The new restaurant will be located at 595 S. 3rd St.

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants plans to use a former on-site parking lot as patio space, creating more than 1,800 square feet of outdoor dining roon, nearly three times the size of the G. Michael’s patio.

“The greenery and pergola keeps that pedestrian feel along the street and doesn’t try to compete with the historic architecture,” a German Village Commission Member said about the patio plans.

You can also take a look at them yourself here.
