This new Italian fine-dining concept is taking over the former location of G. Michael’s

Where one door loses, another opens. 

Even though the iconic eatery G. Michael’s Bistro & Bar shuttered for good last year, Columbus residents can expect another new restaurant in the same location.

In a press release yesterday, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants announced that it will be taking over the site that was formerly G. Michael’s, located at 595 S. 3rd St. in the heart of German Village.

“It has always been a desire of CMR to have a prime location in German Village, and we have been seeking an ideal space for the past 15 years,” the restaurant group said in a press release. 

While many details of the new project are still under wraps—we currently don’t know what it will will be called, and no menu has been released–CMR announced that the new location will serve as a “fine dining Italian concept.”
