Popular Columbus pizzeria closing original location

Sexton’s Pizza opened the doors of its newest restaurant in Hilliard in early March. But while we’ve recently gained a location from the popular pizzeria, we’ll be losing another.

Yesterday, Sexton’s announced its Reynoldsburg storefront, located at 8005 E. Broad St., will be permanently closing after service on May 15. The Reynoldsburg Sexton’s is the pizzeria’s original location.

According to a statement posted to Sexton’s social media accounts, the Reynoldsburg eatery will be closing in order to “combine efforts” with Sexton’s Gahanna restaurant, which is located at 943 E. Johnstown Rd.

“With a full staff we can keep our focus on pizza, employees and our guests,” the statement reads. “This comes with a heavy heart. Broad street was our first storefront and got us to where we are now. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our pizza journey.”

Sexton’s Gahanna location will be offering half off pizzas for in-store purchase on May 16.
