Woody’s Wing House has closed the doors of its West Side restaurant for good.

The popular spot for wings and more in a sports bar atmosphere announced yesterday evening that it would close its Hilliard location, which opened its doors in early 2021. The closure was effective immediately.

Woody’s Wing House was located at 1840 Hilliard Rome Rd.

“Our corporate ownership group purchased back the Hilliard location from franchisees months ago with the goal of improving the quality of customer experience; however, due to ongoing staffing shortages and unforeseen financial challenges, we have had to make the tough decision to close our doors,” a statement posted to Woody’s website reads.

The Columbus-based chicken wing eatery will continue to operate its original restaurant, located at 161 E. Campus View Blvd. in Worthington. This is currently the only Woody Wing’s House location.
