Popular pizzeria opening new Columbus-area location

Here comes another Pizza Cottage.

The Central Ohio hotspot—which originated in Buckeye Lake in 1972—is adding another new restaurant for Central Ohio Pizza fans.

The eatery will be located at 1961 Main St. in Lancaster. The new pizzeria will be the second Pizza Cottage in Lancaster. The other is located at 2223 W. Fair Ave.

Pizza Cottage owner, entrepreneur Larry Tipton, is also based in Lancaster.

An exact opening date for the new location hasn’t been announced.

The popular spot for Columbus-style pies has been steadily expanding in recent years. Earlier this year, Pizza Cottage added a restaurant at 4605 Marlane Dr. in Grove City, and it opened a Powell pizzeria in January of 2021.

The eatery has one location in Columbus proper, and will operate ten total restaurants—most of which are located in Central Ohio— when the new Lancaster location officially opens.
