Lovers of Schmidt’s Sausage Haus and the Columbus Blue Jackets have something to celebrate: Schmidt’s has opened inside Nationwide Arena.

The popular German Village eatery–billed as one of the city’s oldest restaurants–opened a new location on the southwest side of the stadium on Dec. 19.

“Schmidt’s and sports go hand in hand,” said Schmidt’s Chief Operating Officer Carla Eple in a press release. “Our famous sausages are the perfect handheld food for fans.”

The new eatery is serving “Schmidt’s classics,” including a variety of sausages, like its bratwurst, Bahama Mama and more, in addition to traditional stadium offerings including chicken tenders, cheese fries, soft pretzels, soda and beer.

This isn’t the longtime Columbus restaurant’s first foray into local sporting venues either, as Schmidt’s also operates a location at Lower.com Field, and its food trucks are parked in front of the O Zone for Buckeyes home games.
