Good things, like tacos, come to those who wait.
Torchy’s Tacos, the hotly-anticipated Austin-based taco spot, is officially opening the doors of its very first restaurant in the Buckeye state next week.
The eatery, which is located at 1478 Gemini Pl., will hold its grand opening on June 29.

Columbus diners may have some familiarity with the brand, as Torchy’s operated a ghost kitchen, which has since closed, out of the Columbus Food Hall in 2021.
“We are proud and eager to announce the opening of our Columbus location as the newest home for Torchy’s Tacos,” said Mike Rypka, founder and CEO of Torchy’s Tacos in a press release. “Torchy’s Ghost Kitchen was a great introduction to the local market that allowed us to connect with fans in the area, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back in-person for some Damn Good tacos, queso and margaritas.”
The first 100 people to attend the grand opening event will receive a free, limited-edition Torchy’s Tacos shirt.
