The Cheesecake Girl has created a three-in-one pie, cake and cheesecake for the Fourth of July

Jack McLaughlin

There’s always the question of what dessert is best to serve at your annual Fourth of July bash. Cake is classic, and almost everyone loves it, but is it a little bit too safe? Pie has a distinctly summer–and a  distinctly American–flair to it, but it’s a gamble. If you’re feeling bold, you could also throw caution to the wind and opt for a cheesecake.

Well, now you can have all three.

Back by popular demand, The Cheesecake Girl and Mrs. Goodman’s Bakery have partnered to create the massive, and aptly-named, PieCheeseCaken.

According to The Cheesecake Girl owner Samantha Strange, the massive–and patriotic–creation features three layers, the first contains blueberry cheesecake, the middle is made up of cherry pie, and its top layer is red, white and blue Funfetti cake. The entire PieCheeseCaken is then coated in red, white and blue buttercream.

“We did this collaboration last year as well. It was chocolate cake, bourbon caramel cheesecake and pecan pie,” Strange said. “Everyone loved the local collab and the variety, so we thought we should bring it back for the holiday weekend.”

You can pre-order your own PieCheeseCaken here. They will be available for pickup starting this weekend, and single slices can also be purchased at The Cheesecake Girl’s Dublin and Hilliard locations, as well as at Mrs. Goodman’s Worthington store.
