The East Market is opening later this month, check out the complete list of food and drink vendors
The East Market, the new 30,000 square foot marketplace on the city’s Near East Side, is holding its grand opening event on April 30.
Part of the area’s Trolley District Development, the marketplace–located at 212 Kelton Ave.– will be home to a handful of exciting food and drink concepts, some new, others old favorites.

The market grand opening will include a pop-up vendor that has not yet been announced, and there are currently two vendor spaces still open. Vendor applications for the pop-up space will be available soon.
While The Pit, Just Chicken and NOLA Daq Shack will not be ready to serve food at the market’s grand opening, there are plenty of other events planned for the April 30 grand opening.
The day kicks off at 11:00 a.m. The family focused morning and afternoon events will kick-off with facepainting and balloon animals for the kids beginning at 11:30. The Columbus Zoo will stop by with several special guests from 1-2 p.m., and magician Carol Baker will be roaming the market performing tricks beginning at 4PM. CD 92.5 will even hold a live broadcast from the market from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The party continues with a live DJ at 7 p.m.
The East Market will also be holding a hiring event on Thursday April 14th from 2PM to 4PM in Railhouse. The market will be hiring Porters and an Admin, Railhouse and Switch will be interviewing all Front of House positions. Vendors such as American Nut Company, Yellow Brick Pizza, and Creole 2 Geaux will be interviewing as well.
