The Market Italian Village is closing

Just one week after The Little Kitchen announced its closure in Bridge Park, the Columbus Area will have to say goodbye to another local eatery.

The Market Italian Village is closing.

The chic eatery, located at 1022 Summit St., announced in a statement posted to its social media accounts that it plans to close for good after service on Sept. 17.

“Family, friends, and neighbors—we’re here to share that our chapter is coming to a close,” the statements reads. “A trailblazer the moment it opened, The Market succeeded by offering food, drink, and service that contend with any restaurant in any city, and we’re proud of that fact.”

Known for its dedication to serving local and seasonal fare in addition to a massive, international wine menu, The Market first opened its doors in the summer of 2014.
