This Columbus bakery is selling holiday trees made entirely from donuts

Even though Donna’s Delicious Dozen was the victim of a catalytic converters theft that left the bakery’s sole food truck out of commission for multiple days, the incident did nothing to dampen owner Traci Lukemire’s holiday spirit.

This year, Donna’s Delicious Dozen is selling its Merry Merry Donut Tree for the second year. In case you missed out on the popular item last year, we’ll fill you in: it’s an over two foot tall holiday tree made entirely of donuts and frosting.

Billed as the “perfect centerpiece for your holiday party or family get-together,” the sizable seasonable treat is quite the sight.

Featuring seven layers of donuts stacked vertically, the tree’s first row is made up of donuts covered in chocolate sprinkles, mimicking a trunk. This is followed by five layers of donuts topped with green nonpareils that serve as the majority of the tree, with chocolate candies dotting the entire thing like holiday lights. The creation is topped with a single donut covered in gold sugar crystals that serves as the tree topper.

Preorders for the seasonal item are currently open, but supplies are limited, so act now if you want one this year. Orders can be picked up anytime between Dec. 1 and noon on Dec. 24 at noon.

Donna’s also plans to offer an OSU-themed version of the Merry Merry Donut Tree and the Merry Grinchmas holiday box, which is made up of a dozen donuts decorated like the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, a reindeer, a holiday present and more.
