Columbus distillery wins seven awards at world spirits competition

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is one of the oldest and largest spirit contests in the entire world, and one Columbus distillery came out of the event with a litany of commendations.

High Bank Distillery Co. took home seven different awards at the event, including five Double Golds.

Here’s a full rundown of what the Columbus distillers brought home:

  • Whiskey War Barrel Proof, Double Gold
  • Whiskey War Double Oaked, Double Gold
  • Whiskey War Double Double Oaked, Double Gold
  • Midnight Cask Barrel Proof, Double Gold
  • High Bank Vodka, Double Gold
  • Whiskey War, Silver
  • Statehouse Barrel Select Madeira Aged Gin, Silver 

The competition employs a panel of 70 judges and fields more than 5,000 entries from across the world. Its Best in Show winners, where a single best spirit is selected for the event’s 31 categories, will be announced in June.
