This popular birria eatery aimed to sell exactly 14,000 tacos this year; Here’s how close they are

We’re approaching a photo finish, people.

Columbus Birria, a popular food truck specializing in the currently white-hot Birria taco trend, set a goal at the beginning of the year. It wanted to sell 14,000 tacos in 2022.

According to a recent Instagram post from the eatery, they’re closing in on the goal, but will need a significant boost to hit the mark before the end of year.

“13,021 tacos sold this year,” the post reads. “Help us reach our goal of 14,000.”

According to owner Casey Clark, while Columbus Birria would need a last-minute push to hit the 14,000 taco mark, it’s not at all out of the question.

While each day is different, she said, a good day for the food truck sees them sell upwards of 500 tacos. We’re not mathematicians, but the numbers here are clear: a pair of solid outings sales-wise is what the taqueria needs.

“I’m really hoping we can reach this goal. It will be a major milestone for my business to know we have the support of Columbus,” Clark said. “#ForTheLoveOfTacos is my favorite quote because who doesn’t love tacos? My tacos are just a different style that represents Columbus but with an authentic flare.”

You have two opportunities left this year to help the small business and grab some great birria while you’re at it. Today and tomorrow, Columbus Birria will be located at 5055 E. Main St., in the parking lot of American Freight Furniture & Mattress. from 12-7 p.m.
