White Castle canceling dine-in reservations on Valentine’s Day, offering the new “Love Cube” instead for one day only

While the Columbus-based burger chain White Castle has announced it will be foregoing its ever-popular Valentine’s Day dine-in reservations (we’re serious, this is a thing), it’s coming at us with a replacement that’s just as good.

“Amid the continued spread of coronavirus, White Castle has chosen to cancel its customary in-Castle Valentine’s Day dinner, which it has been doing since 1991,” White Castle said in a statement. “They had hoped to take reservations this year, but out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of their customers and team members, they have decided to shift their focus to an experience that customers can take with them.”

Instead of Valentine’s Day dine-in, it’s time to say hello to the Love Cube, Columbus.

Available on Valentine’s Day only, this carryout meal for two with speciality packaging will contain eight Cheese Sliders, choice of two shareable sides, a five-piece cheese sticks in addition to two small Coca-Cola Freestyle soft drinks.

And you’d better save room for dessert, because White Castle will also be offering a new strawberry swirl cheesecake on a stick.

White Castle also plans to offer free delivery through its delivery partners on orders of $15 or more for Valentine’s Day.
