Over the weekend, a fixture in the city’s indie music scene was reportedly the victim of a burglary that netted more than $20,000 in stolen goods.

According to a recently-created GoFundMe page, Double Happiness, the popular live music venue and bar located at 482 S. Front St., was burglarized over the weekend.

The page claims that an estimated $17,000 in speakers and sound equipment was stolen, in addition to $3,000 worth of cash, liquor and beer.

“The biggest loss we are feeling of course is our sound board and speakers. This is our life blood. We do not operate without it. We are a small bar struggling in a courtyard of the Brewery District, not exactly the place for walking traffic,” the GoFundMe page reads.

At the time this story was published, the page had raised just under $7,000 of its $20,000 goal.
