Five teenagers injured at pajama party shooting in Franklinton

According to a press release from Columbus Police, five people were struck by gunfire after a shooting that took place during a pajama party in Franklinton.

The shooting occured just after 12:45 a.m. on Dec. 27 at the corner of Bellows Avenue and Hawkes Avenue. The victims were throwing a pajama party inside the house at this intersection, which was rented. 

Police said several unknown shooters began firing weapons into the residence, and one person inside returned fire.

Five people–all between the ages of 17 and 19–were injured in the shooting and transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. All five are expected to recover.

It’s currently unclear if Police have any suspects.
