One dead after shooting outside of east side bar

One man has died following a shooting outside of a bar on the far east side of the city.

According to Columbus Police, officers were called to the 1000 block of Country Club Road just before midnight on Oct. 22 due to a report of shots being fired.

Officers arrived to find the victim, a 40 year-old Jeffery Chandler, suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:10.

Police said the victim and several others were patronizing a nearby bar when an argument broke out. They moved the altercation outside, and the shooting occurred shortly after,
