Police: Man asks for Papa John’s application at East Side location, then shoots store manager

One person was injured after a shooting inside an East Side Papa John’s location last night.

According to Columbus Police, just after 10:15 p.m. yesterday evening, a man walked into the Papa John’s storefront located at 2906 E. Main St.

The man asked for an application and proceeded to shoot the store manager, police said.

The manager was taken to Grant Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Following the incident, Columbus Police say the suspect fled the scene heading northbound into Bexley. At the time this story was published, police were still searching for a suspect.
