Westerville Police are looking for a man who’s suspected of assaulting a restaurant employee before fighting another patron.

According to a statement released by the City of Westerville, the incident occurred inside Genjigo—a fast-casual restaurant serving hibachi bowls and more— located at 14 E. Schrock Rd. The incident occurred on September 21.

The eatery’s surveillance system captured the assault and fight on video, and a segment of the video was shared by the City of Westerville in a Facebook post.

The video shows a customer, a man wearing a short sleeve red t-shirt, placing an order inside the restaurant. He is being helped by a Genjigo employee.

For reasons that are not clear, the customer becomes upset, and begins animatedly addressing the employee. Shortly after, he reaches across the counter, opens his container of food and throws it at the employee. He then hurls multiple 20-ounce drink bottles at the employee,

The man then begins fighting with a customer who was behind him in line before the video ends. The video does not contain sound, so it’s unclear what leads to the assault and fistfight.
