Starting this Friday, there will be more Barrel & Boar barbecue to go around.

That’s because the growing barbecue concept will be taking over the kitchen space of Homestead Brewing Co.’s location inside Newark’s Cherry Valley Hotel.

Referred to as the Homestead Beer Company Cherry Valley Public House, the craft brewery is located at 2319 Cherry Valley Rd. SE in Newark.

While Homestead’s space in Cherry Valley has seen a pair of chef partners operate in the space since it opened last year—most recently SLAB food truck, which opened its location inside the homestead kitchen in November—according to President Stan Riley, Barrel & Boar is planning to stay in the space for the long haul.

“We’ve made a lot of investment in this space, with equipment and more, so it’s a permanent thing for us,” he said.

Riley said the expansion, which will include a catering arm as well, will help Barrel & Boar reach more customers in Licking County. Homestead’s Cherry Valley Public House offers sizable indoor and outdoor dining spaces, in addition to seating in the brewery’s barrel-aging room.
