This long-standing toy chain has announced its only Ohio location will close

The sole American Girl Doll storefront in the Buckeye State will close early next year.

According to a post made to the store’s Facebook page, the Columbus American Girl Doll Store, known as American Girl Columbus, will shutter on Feb. 19.

The shop is located at 4040 The Strand E., inside of Easton Town Center.

After opening in the summer of 2013, American Girl Columbus has served as one of the larger Midwestern outposts for the Wisconsin-based company, which currently operates additional locations in Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Washington D.C. and Canada.

Until the Columbus American Girl Doll store closes, all merchandise in the store is 20 percent off, with books being 50 percent off.
