Kids aren’t the only ones that get to have their own designated playground anymore.

Land-Grant Brewing Company and Gravity are teaming up to operate the Gravity Experience Park, a new Franklinton development and outdoor community space that will feature an outdoor bar, concerts, artwork, and even pickle ball, an ice rink, food truck vendors, plus much more.

This “adult playground” is on a half-acre stretch of land next to the Idea Foundry, on the corner of McDowell and West State Street. Across the street is Land-Grant Brewing Company at 424 W. Town St., who will operate the park and start activating events beginning as soon as October.

In the winter time, the designated pickle ball courts will convert into a cozy ice skating rink. Other winter activities, such as beer curling, will also take place on the rink. They’re calling this concept “Wintergarden,” and they’re aiming for visitors to be welcomed to Wintergarden as early as this year.

Land-Grant President Adam Benner envisions this being a space that brings people together, encouraging collaboration among local artists. “We envision this park being like a town square – a place that brings people together from Franklinton and all over Columbus together in all of these fun and amazing ways,” said Brenner in a news release.

Sounds like our winter blues might be cured this winter!
