You can help this local cemetery try to break the world record of ‘most people dressed as ghosts’

Ask any ghost hunter in Columbus, and they’ll probably tell you the most haunted place here is The Greenlawn Cemetery. Many people frolic about the grounds, hoping to spot the rumored ghosts and hear the high pitch screams some people claim to have witnessed. And while supernatural thrill seekers might already think Greenlawn could set the world record for most ghosts, The Greenlawn Cemetery Association is trying to actually make that true.

On the evening of Friday, October 27th, Greenlawn Cemetery is inviting Columbus to participate in their “Walk with the Dead” event, which is a 5k or 1 mile run or walk. But, they want you and your family to dress as ghosts, so that they can attempt to break the World Record for “largest gathering of people dressed as ghosts,” according to their website. Anyone is able to participate in the World Record photo for free!

Oh, and there’s also a beer garden for adults, plus two ghost tours throughout the cemetery right after the walk/run. Greenlawn Cemetery is a 360-acre Civil War-era grounds, and it’s the 2nd largest cemetery in Ohio, so it’s definitely going to be a cool, spooky night.

Here’s a run down of the event, if you’re interested:
