Columbus, I choose you!

While Ash Ketchum may or may not make an appearance, The Arch City is preparing for some serious Pokemon action, as the 2023 Pokemon International North America Championships will be held in Columbus.

The event will serve as the North American Regional Finals, which means the continent’s very best Pokemon players across multiple different Pokemon-related platforms will go head-to-head, with the event determining who will advance to the World Championship event.

The competition will feature showdowns in the Pokemon Trading Card Game and Pokemon GO, in addition to the Pokemon Video Game Championships.

This year’s North American Championships will take place from June 30-July 2 in Hall A and Hall B of the Greater Columbus Convention Center, which is located at 400 N. High St.

While the Pokemon Trading Card Game and Video Game Championship tickets have sold out, they are still available for Pokemon GO. The event will also be hosted on Twitch and livestreamed on YouTube.
