Half a century old business opens second storefront at Polaris

With trends like “Coastal Cowgirl” and “Western Chic” recirculating in the fashion world, it’s no wonder that a Northside staple, Rod’s True Western, calculated a decision to open a second storefront next to Abercrombie & Fitch at Polaris Fashion Place to lasso in a wider range of customers.

For the past 46 years, Rod’s True Western has proudly served as the premier destination for Western apparel and home decor at their iconic 3099 Silver Dr. location. Now, in their pursuit of reaching even more people and showcasing their extensive Western offerings, they’ve ventured into a new experiment—a second storefront in a more centrally located area. At this new store, you can find anything from authentic leather belts and cowboy boots to hats, t-shirts, jeans, and even trinkets for your home.
According to Phil Minix, Rod’s executive vice president, one of their hopes is that their newer, smaller location at Polaris will attract more people to their whopping, original 20,000 square feet retail space on Silver Dr., too. Having this space could even add more traffic to their website, which has more Western merchandise to choose from, including fragrances, tack, bedding, and jewelry.
