A brand-new birria food truck is now open for business

Jack McLaughlin

With the enormous popularity of birria tacos likely not dwindling anytime soon, a new Columbus-area concept specializing in the dish has opened.

The El Gringo Y Gringa Birria food truck held its grand opening last month in Canal Winchester.

The new truck is a concept from Purdy Good Food, a mobile food business.

The truck is typically located on the south and southeast sides of Columbus, but you can find its upcoming locations on StreetFoodFinder (under PurdyGoodFood), and Purdy Good Food’s social media pages. The next stop for the new food truck is scheduled for Jan. 31 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Amazon facility located at Gateway Ct.

Specializing in birria tacos made with brisket and beef shank, the new food truck also offers birria ramen, birria quesadillas, Mexican street corn and more.
