According to ‘Food & Wine,’ one of the country’s best drive-in eateries can be found in Columbus
With warmer weather on the way, drive-in dining season has almost arrived.
In a recent ‘Food & Wine’ story, the national publication created a list of the 12-best “Classic American Drive-In Restaurants”, and one of the eateries boasts multiple central Ohio locations.
If you haven’t already figured it out, we’re talking about Swensons Drive-In. Here’s what ‘Food & Wine’ had to say about the restaurant:

Akron’s other eat-in-your-car institution, Swensons, has multiple locations and an even quirkier menu of retro-fab drinks (try the phosphates) and snacks (like jalapenõ-spiced cheesy potato teezers). The Galley Boy, a double cheeseburger served with not one, but two special sauces and Spanish olives is a welcomed relic from another era.
As the story notes, Swenson is headquartered in Akron, but the Ohio-born concept operates five different central Ohio locations, in Dublin, Hilliard, the Polaris area, Reynoldsburg, and one on the northeast side of Columbus.
