According to the Food Network, this Columbus restaurant has some of the best pancakes in the country

The Food Network has compiled a list of the best pancakes in every U.S. state, and one Columbus eatery made the cut.

According to Food Network author Emily Lee, Katalina’s takes the crown for best pancakes in Ohio, even if they’re not served in the most traditional form.

Lee notes the popular Columbus restaurant’s Pancake Balls as the reason for their inclusion on the list.

“Owner Kathleen Day has garnered a massive following that includes locals and out-of-towners alike with her prized Pancake Balls made with local, stone-ground Fowler’s Mill flour,” the story reads. “Diners get to choose from three different fillings: Nutella, dulce de leche or local organic Cooper’s Mill Pumpkin-Apple Butter. Every order comes with Milligan’s Bourbon Barrel Aged maple syrup and a side of Katalina’s Original Sweet ’N’ Spicy Bacon, or regular bacon if you desire.”

Katalina’s currently operates two Columbus locations, and Day recently confirmed the addition of a third, coming to Franklin later this year.
