After 15 years on High Street, this popular restaurant quietly closed its doors

Some of you may have tried to visit your go-to spot for some Pad Thai and General Tso’s this week, only to find the restaurant’s windows covered in red paper, and a sign on the door that says “permanently closed.”

Mark Pi’s Asian Diner, a campus staple for the past 15 years, has quietly, and officially, said goodbye, according to signs on the door, and a Google notification that says “permanently closed.”

This restaurant, which was located at 1610 N. High St. and served fast-casual American-Chinese favorites, now has a sign in the window that says “COMING SOON: Buckeye Express.”

There are still three other Mark Pi’s locations around Columbus that seem to be remaining open, but this was the only Mark Pi’s Asian Diner. The other two are Mark Pi’s Express’, and one remaining location is called Mark Pi’s Feast of the Dragon.

Neither Mark Pi’s owners or the owners of Buckeye Express could be contacted for information.
